Abstract
PURPOSE:To efficiently correct raster distortion, by concurrently using auxiliary deflection elements and adjusting elements of magnetic field distribution to deflecting yokes in a color picture tube internally equipped with an inline electron gun. CONSTITUTION:Cores 151, 152 cut off into halves in a direction of tube axis are combined, to which vertical deflecting coils 161, 162 are wound respectively in a toroidal state. To said vertical deflecting coils, saddle shape horizontal deflecting coils 181, 182 are mounted through a separator 17. In a plane, where magnetic fluxes of the vertical deflecting coils 161, 162 are in repulsion to each other to provide most intense magnetic field, a pair of magnetic field absorbing bodies 191, 192 are arranged, then at both ends of said magnetic field absorbing bodies arm-shaped magnetic field leadking bodies 201-204 are arranged in positions corresponding to diagonal axes of a picture tube, in this way auxiliary deflecting elements are constituted. Further between the magnetic field leaking bodies 201 and 203 and 202 and 204,magnetic field distribution adjusting elements 211, 212 consisting of magnetic material with large magnetic holding power are provided.
