Abstract

PURPOSE:To correct the raster distortion by arranging a pair of magnetic members in the proximity of the portion of barrel type vertical coil where the leakage flux density is maximum, and projecting a plurality of arm groups from said magnetic members toward a funnel. CONSTITUTION:Pin-cushion type horizontal deflection field and barrel type vertical deflection field are employed. Moreover magnetic members 291, 292 are arranged on a pair of cores 251, 252 and arm groups 301, 302, 303, 304 are projected from both ends of magnetic members 291, 292 toward a funnel. Consequently smooth pin-cushion distribution of barrel type vertical field is obtained between facing arms 301 and 305, 304 and 308, 302 and 306, 303 and 307, while barrel distribution is obtained at the central section thereby longitudinal and lateral distortion of raster can be corrected.
