PURPOSE:To enable to accurately and rapidly measure dimethylpolysiloxane containing in the following concrete, by heating the steam curing light weight air bubble concrete at >=900 deg.C in an inactive gas and measuring generated methane. CONSTITUTION:Powdered steam curing light weight air bubble concrete containing dimethylpolysiloxane is weighed in a Pt-Rh boat and the boat is inserted into a quartz pipe and then, is moved to a place maintained at >=900 deg.C after making nitrogen gas current in the quartz pipe at a low temperature part. Generated methane is directly introduced into a gas chromatograph by a nitrogen gas carrier and peak value of methane of about two minutes holding time is found and then, the quantity of dimethylpolysiloxane is quantitatively measured by the working curve drawn up separately. Hereby, dimethylpolysiloxane contained in the steam curing light weight air bubble concrete being the extraction insufficient by the usual extraction method by organic solvent, can be accurately and rapidly measured.
