Abstract
PURPOSE: To attain to restore the sacrificial anode effect of Zn in the aluminum alloy member by subjecting the Zn containing aluminum member to which high temp. heating treatment is applied in vacuum to diffusion heat treatment at a specific temp. in the air.
CONSTITUTION: For the aluminum alloy member of which a Zn concn. in a surface part is remarkably reduced by applying the vacuum high temp. heating treatment such as vacuum soldering, the diffusion heat treatment is applied by holding said aluminum alloy member at 300W630°C for a predetermined time in the air or an inert gas atmosphere with pressure almost equal to atmospheric pressure. Thereby, Zn remained in an interior of said member is diffused to a surface part to increase the Zn concn. of the surface part of said member and, thereby, the sacrificial anode effect lost by Zn evaporation is restored.
