Abstract

PURPOSE: The titled composition, capable of giving a cured article having improved heat resistance, mechanical and electrical properties, having a long pot life and a low viscosity, and containing a specific maleimide compound, 1,3,5-triallyl isocyanurate and a radical polymerization initiator.
CONSTITUTION: A composition prepared by mixing (A) 100pts.wt. maleimide compound having 2.5 or more maleimide rings in one molecule, preferably poly(phenylmethylene)polymaleimide expressed by the formula (n is ≥0.5) with (B) preferably 30W300pts.wt. 1,3,5-triallyl isocyanurate and (C) a radical polymerization initiator, e.g. dicumyl peroxide, in an amount of preferably 0.1W5wt% based on the mixture of the components (A) with (B).
EFFECT: The composition is curable at a lower pressure and lower temperature in a shorter time than the conventional polyimide, and a molding composition containing a filler, etc. can be molded at 160W180°C and 50W150kg/cm2 for 3W5min.
