Abstract

PURPOSE: An oral remedy for hemophilia A, which has very high stability in blood and improved storage stability optionally in the form of a freeze-dried solid, and contains fatty corpuscles, blood coagulation factor VIII incorporated therein and further a stabilizer if necessary.
CONSTITUTION: A remedy effective for hemophilia A containing fatty corpuscles, and blood-coagulation factor VIII (F-VIII) incorporated therein and further a stabilizer if necessary. The oral remedy has no bad effect by the conventional parenteral administration, particularly injection, very high stability in blood and improved storage stability. The pharmaceutical is prepared by introducing a solution containing the F-VIII into an aqueous solution capable of forming the fatty corpuscles, and incorporating the F-VIII into the interior, gaps or surfaces of the fatty corpuscles. In the process, 0.5W10pts.wt. basd on one pt.wt. fatty corpuscles, stabilizer, e.g. albumin, dextran or vinyl polymer, may be present. The pharmaceutical may be formed into a freeze-dried one.
