Abstract
PURPOSE:To curb generation of noise wave without sacrificing ignition energy, by using insulating material for a rotor electrode to hold it at high temperature. CONSTITUTION:A rotor electrode 24 is covered with insulating material such as silicon rubber tape, except for a sliding surface 32 on which a contactor (not shown in the figure) gets in contct and an electric discharge surface 34 opposed to a stationary electrode (not shown in the figure). This construction can shut off heat escaping in the air around the rotor electrode 24 and also heat flowing across an insulating substrate 26 at the moment of discharge, and thus curb generation of noise wave without reducing ignition energy.
