CONSTITUTION:Welding power is supplied to the primary-side winding of welding transformer 2 only in the half or one cycle to induce the welding current in the secondary-side winding between welding electrodes 3 and 4. This secondary current is detected by Rogowski coil 10, and the effective value is calculated and is compared with the set current value of calculate difference components. These difference components are converted to striking angles of thyristors 6 and 7, and striking angles of thyristors 6 and 7 are so controlled that the effective value of the current power source becomes the set current value in the next half or one cycle of the welding secondary current, and power is supplied. This control is repeated similarly to hold the welding current constant.
