Therein the length lB is obtained by expressing the length LB of the breadth-reduced part at the bottom of the slab as a result of the rolling work of the horizontal roll following to the final edging pass in case when the method of this invention is not performed in terms of the length before the final edging pass; besides, DELTAB designates the breadth reduction in the bottom of the slab as a result of rolling work by the pair of horizontal rolls following to the final edging pass.
