Abstract

PURPOSE: To obtain a refrigerator oil suitable for rotary type refrigerating compressor, having excellent loading resistance and excellent flon resistance, from a mixture of a paraffinic mineral oil and a braneched alkylbenzene and a polyhydric alcohol ester of a monocarboxylic acid.
CONSTITUTION: A mixture of a paraffinic mineral oil and a branched alkylbenzene obtained from alkylation of benzene with propylene tetramer or a naphthenic mineral oil is mixed with 5W30wt% polyhydric alcohol ester of a monocarboxylic acid, e.g., trimethylolpropane tricaprylate, etc., together with, if necessary, 0.05W0.5wt% phosphorous acid ester of the formula (where n is 1W18 and m is 0W2).
EFFECT: The refrigerator oil has a loading resistance (by Falex test) equal to or higher than tricresyl phosphate additive oil, and causes no corrosive abrasion when being tested on actual regrigerator.
