Abstract

PURPOSE: To prepare a refrigerator oil composition having excellent boundary lubricity, compatibility with a refrigerant, and thermal stability in the presence of a refrigerant, and improved lubricity, by adding a phosphorous acid ester, etc. to a petroleum lubricating base oil or synthetic lubricating base oil.
CONSTITUTION: The objective refrigerator oil composition is prepared by adding (A) a phosphorous acid mono- or di-ester of formula I (R1 is alkyl, phenyl, etc.; R2 is alkyl, phenyl, H, etc.), and if necessary, (B) a phosphoric acid triester of formula II (R3-5 are alkyl, phenyl, etc.) to a petroleum lubricating base oil or a synthetic base oil such as alkylbenzene, alkylnaphthalene, etc. The sum of the components (A) and (B) is 0.01W2wt% (pref. 0.1W0.5wt%) based on the oil, and the weight ratio of (A) to (B) is 1to 0.2W20, pref. 1 to 0.5W3.
EFFECT: Suppresses the deposition of copper to steel, etc.
