Abstract

PURPOSE: To make it possible to obtain a highly safe automatic ignition, by using such a design that when gas is supplied into a flame outlet, a high voltage is generated by a joint effort between a movable element which is moved at a pressure higher than a prescribed gas pressure and piezoelectric element, and ignition is made by the discharge at this high voltage.
CONSTITUTION: When a gas burner valve is opened and a mixed gas is supplied from an introducing passage 18 of a flame outlet 1 to a mixed gas passage 28, gas pressure is applied to the sleeve rear end of a movable element 6 through a gap 50 between a high-pressure oxygen supply pipe 11 and a permanent magnet 7 on fixed side. When the pressure exceeded an attractive force between the movable element 6 and the magnet 7, the movable element 6 is forwardly shifted and a projection 48 on the front surface of the movable element 6 is made to impinge upon a piezoelectric element (not shown) in a piezoelectric holding body 51. For this reason, a high voltage is generated on the piezoelectric element, and an electric discharge is performed between a discharging electrode 9 and tip of an oxygen-jetting nozzle of a supply pipe 11. This discharge ignites the gas jetted out from a gas jetting hole 22 of a nozzle 2.
