Abstract

PURPOSE:To improve operation of a nozzle used in a gas welding or gas fusing device, by disposing an igniting mens on the inside of a high-pressure oxygen introducing pipe, and enabling to ignite gas fuel in an automatic an reliable manner only by opening a valve disposed at a portion of a gas passage passing gas fuel through the gas passage. CONSTITUTION:A nozzle of this invention is coupled to a torch (not shown) by driving a threaded portion 6 of a sleeve-like body 1 into a threaded hole of the torch. In operation, a valve of the gas burner is opened at first for ejecting a mixture gas from a gas outlet port 9 of a nozzle 8 via an inlet port 5 and passages 19, 59, and then high-pressure oxygen is supplied to an inlet port 4. Thereupon, pressure of the high-pressure oxygen is applied to an end face of a permanent magnet 25 attached to a striker 23, so that the striker 23 is moved forward against the force of a spring 28. Therefore, a striking projection 26 formed on the font face of the striker 23 strikers a metal piece 42 which is held in contact with the cathode of a piezo-electric element 34, and a high voltage is produced by the element 34. This causes a spark between the top of a high-pressure oxygen ejecting nozzle 53 and the top of the nozzle 8, and mixture gas is thus ignited.
