Abstract

PURPOSE:To make it possible to control the number of rotations with minimum losses with due control on the magnetic flux of a stator field, by forming a gap to a connecting part of a pair of yoke which is so arranged to contain an armature in- between, and making the length of the gap changeable. CONSTITUTION:A pair of yoke 2a and 2b is so mounted that is contains a flat armature 3 in-between, and at least to one end of the yoke a permanent magnet 1 is fixed to create a stator field. Then a gap delta is formed to a connecting part of the yoke 2a and 2b in a manner that the length thereof can be changed by the angle theta of a lever 6. As the length delta of the gap gets greater, the field magnetic flux gets weaker with the increase in the magnetic resistance and the number of rotations incresed. With such an arrangement, a more efficient control on the number of rotation can be had without losses and heat generation than in the case of control by changing the resistors connected in series.
