Abstract

PURPOSE: To obtain the titled compound useful as a raw material for preparing vinyl silane, adhesive, etc. industrially advantageously, by reacting a disilane, a readily obtainable raw material, with acetlylene in the presence of a catalytic amount of a phosphorus complex of VIII group element.
CONSTITUTION: A disilane shown by the formula I (X is Cl or a monofunctional group selected from the group consisting of 1W4C alkoxy; R1 is monofunctional hydrocarbon group; a and b are 0W3) is reacted with acetylene in the presence of a catalytic amount of a phosphorus complex of VIII group element (e.g., 0 functional Pd.phosphine complex), to give the titled compound shown by the formula II. Methyl group is preferable as R1 in the formula I because it is readily obtainable and does not cause side reactions. X is preferably Cl is preferably Cl or methoxy group. Almost all of the titled compound which is prepared are cis isomer.
