Abstract
PURPOSE:To avoid the undesired surface wave response, by forming the end part of the surface elastic wave propagation side with a plural number of electrode fingers having different lengths. CONSTITUTION:The electrode fingers 5-8 having different lengths are disposed at the end of the side robe of the reed screen type electrode and obliquely as a whole to the direction of the surface elastic wave propagation. A difference of lambda is secured at the slope part of the electrode fingers 5-8 each and in the propagating direction of the surface elastic wave. In the example in the figure, the repetitive synchronism is set at lambda/4 for the electrode fingers. Thus the undesired surface wave response caused by the hatched area of electrode fingers 5 and 7 has a path difference of lambda/2 to secure an offset in the adverse phase to each other. In the same way, the undesired surface wave response caused by the hatched areas of the electrode fingers 6 and 8 is offset.
