Abstract

PURPOSE:To control the forward and reverse revolution as well as the stoppage of a motor with two bidirectional thyristors with control electrode by controlling the conductive state of the thyristor connected to a stator winding. CONSTITUTION:When a motor is rotated forwardly, a gate current is flowed to the gate terminal A of a triac 12 with respect to both directions of an AC power source 1, and AC current is flowed to the stator windings 3a, 3b of the motor. When the motor is reversely rotated, the gate current is flowed to the gate terminal C of the triac 13 with respect to both directions of the AC source 1. When the motor is braked in the course while the motor is rotated forwardly or reversely, the gate current is flowed from the gate terminals A, C of the triacs 12, 13 respectively to the second terminals B, D only when a current flows from the power source 1, and the DC current is flowed to the stator windings 3a, 3b.
