Abstract
PURPOSE:To make it possible to secure electric insulation between an AC input circuit and DC detecting circuit by composing an input leading-in circuit of a photocoupling circuit. CONSTITUTION:Through resistance 6, AC current input to the AC input circuit is adjusted to a value adequate to drive light emission diodes 7 and 8. Since light emission diodes 7 and 8 are connected in the mutually-opposite directions, diode 7 turns on in the positive half cycle of the AC input current and diode 8 turns in the negative half cycle, so that phototransistors 9 and 10 will conduct by turns. In the sum of both those half cycles, i.e. one cycle, the same DC current with full-wave rectification flows through resistance 11, variation in this current, i.e. in AC input voltage is obtained as that in voltage across resistance 11, and the variation is detected by detecting circuit 3 to drive relay 4.
