Abstract

PURPOSE:To effectively prevent generation of Karman's vortex thereby to prevent vibration by mounting a flag-shaped rectifying device formed by pasting a flexible member to a plurality of fram-works on the outer surface of an underwater pipe hung from a work table on the sea, in rotatable and slidable manner. CONSTITUTION:The work table 1 on the sea is supported by stays 2, and an underwater pipe 3 is hung therefrom. Three steel frames 10 are arranged as a plurality of frame works arranged in parallel at a predetermined distance, and a flexible material of a cloth 12 is pasted on the steel frames 10 to fabricate a flag-shaped rectifying device 9. A ring-shaped member 14 provided at one end part of the steel frame 10 is mounted on the outer surface of the underwater pipe 3 in a rotatable and slidable manner. The flag-shaped rectifying device 9 is hung from the work table 1 by a rope 11, whereby generation of Karman's vortex in correspondence to variation in the direction of the water flow is prevented, and further water stream resistance is decreased.
