Abstract

PURPOSE: To make the volumes of the concavity and gas-passing hole of a valve seat smaller by molding the valve seat of a sintered alloy by a plastic working method for a full-enclose type compressor based on a reciprocating system.
CONSTITUTION: The valve seat element 11 of a sintered alloy is inserted into the molds 12 with an undulatory surface matching the undulatory shape of an escape groove, etc., previously formed on both sides of the valve seat, and then a high- pressure load is imposed, whereby causing a vacant hole of a depth from the outermost surface of both sides of the valve seat to be blocked. Thus, the thickness of the plate of the valve seat 1 can be made thinner. Because the thickness of the plate can be thinned by the plastic deformation of the vacant holes distributing in the sintered alloy material itself in this way, the valve seat 1 molded with a high accuracy can be obtained. Thus, piston top volumes, e.g., the concavity 1b and the gas-passing holes 1a and 1c of the valve seat 1 can be made smaller by thinning the plate thickness of the valve seat, so that the efficiency of the compressor can be raised.
