Abstract
PURPOSE: To improve the tightening of a ply and promote the quality of a tire by turning the ply up moving a bladder in the winding tightening direction of the ply by the ply turning-up reaction of the bladder.
CONSTITUTION: A ply 14 is turned up by using an expansible bladder 5. In this case, the bladder 5 is moved to an expansion starting location, compressed air is supplied to the bladder 5, the bladder 5 is expanded, and the bladder 5 is shifted in the winding tightening direction of the ply 14 by the ply turning-up reaction of the bladder 5, turning the ply 14 up by means of the expanding bladder 5. An auxiliary bladder 22 is also used. The ply 14 can be turned up pulling the ply 14 around a bead 16 by the adhesive power of a contacting surface between the ply 14 and the bladder 5, thus improving the tightening of the ply 14, then promoting the quality of a tire to be molded.
