Abstract
PURPOSE: To produce continuously high and low temperatures for heating and cooling air-conditioned apparatus by connecting heat exchanger in reaction bathes for high and low temperature heat sources including different metals which store hydrogen with a heat exchanger in high and low temperature heat utilizing apparatus.
CONSTITUTION: By transferring the hydrogen in the low temperature heat reaction bath 5 to high temperature heat reaction bath 3 as the first reaction system, the hydrogen pressure in the reaction bath 5 is decresed. The temperature in the reaction bath 5 becomes low in correspondence with the equilibrium hydrogen temperature. On the contrary, the temperature in the reaction bath 3 becomes high as the high temperature metal 1 absorbs the hydrogen. Therefore, the high and low temperatures can be produced in utilizing apparatus 16, 18, respectively via heat exchangers 3C, 5C in each bathes 3, 5. At the same time, the reaction bath 4 for the second reaction system is heated by the external heat source 14 and the hydrogen is liberated. The preparation for the next reaction is arranged as the hydrogen is introduced into the low temperature metal 2 in the reaction bath 6 via tube 10. By switching the first and the second reaction systems, the high and low temperatures are produced continuously.
