Abstract
PURPOSE: To purify an insulation liquid in a liquid tank economically by a method wherein line of electric force directed to a direction of a purifying chamber and to an opposed direction thereagainst is formed at one end of an electrode plate as well as line of electric force directed to a direction of the liquid tank and to an opposed direction thereagainst is formed at an other end thereof.
CONSTITUTION: The high voltage electrode plate 5 is held in parallel with a side wall of the purifying chamber 4 and a partition wall 15 and the side wall of the purifying chamber 4 is made of a metal as well as earthed and negative and positive electrodes are formed from said side wall and said electrode plate 5. When about 10kV voltage is applied to the electrode plate 5 to generate an electric field, in the vicinity of an upper end of the electrode plate 5, a liquid is separated into a stream impinged to the side wall of the purifying chamber 4 and directed upwardly and a stream directed downwardly and dust contained in the downwardly directed stream is caught by a fiber of a dust collecting body 6 and a purified oil is passed through a space between the electrode plate 5 and a holding plate 8 of the dust collecting body and recirculated to the oil tank 1. The dust or the like caught to the dust collecting body 6 are gradually grown into a large particle and precipitated into a dust sump chamber 7.
