Abstract

PURPOSE: To eliminate no-load running of a fluid machine and prevent thereby damage of mechanical seal by providing an automatic stop means which is to stop the prime mover driving the fluid machine when the liquid level in the casing is sensed to be below a certain value.
CONSTITUTION: Electrodes 4, 5 to form a liquid level sensing means A are arranged at a certain determined level L1 in the casing 2, whereby sinking of liquid level below said level L1 is sensed off by transistors Tr1, Tr2 in Darlington connection to the voltage between the two electrodes 4 and 5. The collector circuitry around these transistors will energize a relay coil 24, which works as well for outputting as forms part of an automatic stop means B, to close a contact 25 and stop the prime mover 3. According to this arrangement, the prime mover is stopped immediately when the fluid contained by the machine has sunk below the preset value, so that no-load running of a fluid machine can be eliminated and any trouble resulting therefrom such as damage of mechanical seal can be well prevented.
