Abstract

PURPOSE: To reduce noise and make a compressor case compact and light by providing a gas path inside a drive shaft and arranging the gas path in communication to a valve cover through an oil separating hole while providing an oil separator in the gas path.
CONSTITUTION: A gas path 11 is provided inside a drive shaft 8 for driving a compressor mechanism 2. This gas path 11 is arranged in communication to a valve cover 20 through an oil separating hole 12 while an oil separator 15 is provided in the gas path 11. Thus, refrigerant gas discharged into the valve cover 20 is introduced through the oil separating hole 12 into the gas path 11 so that noises in opening and closing the valve, gas sound, etc. are not strongly transmitted to a compressor case 1 and noises can be remarkably reduced. Also, since a rotor does not need to have the gas path and an oil separating plate provided, the compressor case can be made compact and light.
