Abstract

PURPOSE: To effectively utilize combustion calorie of combustibles in molding sand and surely prevent their sticking on the inside wall surfaces of a furnace by allowing the molding sand, which is supplied at a constant rate into a rotary furnace, to burn of itself and suppressing the combustion temp. thereof by the exhausting of the center part in the furnace.

Since the temp. in the furnace is elevated further by this self-combustion, the damper 16 of a combustion gas exhaust part 12 for controlling heating temp. is opened to exhaust the high-temp. combustion gas from the approximate center part of the furnace 1 directly to the outside to keep the temp. in the furnace ≤800°C.
