Abstract
PURPOSE: To perform effective denitrification, decoloring, org. component removal and sterilization of secondary treated water of night soil by removing suspended components and org. components by a flotating method and a sand filtering method, then treating the water in a zeolite packed electrolytic cell.
CONSTITUTION: Waste water 8 is added 9 with a flocculant, is mixed with air dissolved water 10 and enters a pressure floating device 1, where suspended components floc and float. These are scraped by a scraper 11 and are flowed out from a sludge recovery part 12. The separated water is pumped into a sand filter tank 2, where it is filtered of residual flocs and suspended matter. Thence, the waste water enters an electrolytic cell 3 in which zeolite 13 is packed between electrodes 14 of alternate insoluble anodes and metallic plate cathodes by leaving the upper spacing, where it is treated by the DC current conduction of the tank 3, and this yields the treated water 17. When the adsorbing and occuluding performance of the zeolite has degraded, the electrolysis is perfcormed while concd. salt water is being flowed 16 in the tank 3, and when the tanks 2, 3 clog, they are backwashed by part 18 of the treated water or washing water 19, and the waste water thereof is mixed with the waste water of the recovering part 12 and is released 22.
