Abstract

PURPOSE: To perform the switching of clock period margin without the production of noise even during the operation of system, by operating and controlling the synchronizing circuit corresponding to the clock designated at the clock selection circuit.
CONSTITUTION: When the clock selection signal SEL is at "0" and FF101 is in the selective indication state of the clock CLK2, the confirming AND gate 104 is closed and FF105, 106 are in reset state and no clock CLK1 is output from the clock gate 102. On the other hand, the reset output of FF101 is fed to FF107, the clock gate 103 is open and the clock CLK2 is output from the output gate 109. When the content of FF101 is switched, the gate 109 outputting the clock before switching is OFF, allowing to synchronize corresponding to the clock CLK1 designated at FF101. Thus, the switching of the clock period margin can be made without producing noise even during the system operation.
