Abstract

PURPOSE:To permit the screw of a single screw extruder to be free from a deflective pressure and prevent production of dragging by providing dragging preventing notches at several portions in the screw flight part where the internal resin pressure has a peak. CONSTITUTION:Over several channels, notches 7 are provided at several portions in the screw flight 3 portion where 3 peak pressure is produced. Thereby, polymer flows from a channel 6a on the downstream side into a channel 6b on the upstream side through the notches 7. Accordingly, the pressure difference is reduced, and the peak value of the internal resin pressure and the side force decrease as well as the screw 2 is wrapped in the polymer passing through the notches 7 and so held that no deflective pressure is applied to the screw 2.
