Abstract

PURPOSE:To realize a half tone for only a picture and thus obtain a high contrast at the edge area of the picture, by setting a proper design matrix by the ground color of the original and then changing the threshold value of the design matrix. CONSTITUTION:The ground color of the original is detected through a scan, and the reference level of detection is applied to the input Vin to be distributed to the comparators Q1-Q4. At the same time, the voltage V0 is divided by the resistances R1-R5 to be distributed to the comparators Q1-Q4 each. Then the reference level is compared with the resistance division level to decide the concentration for the reference level scanned by the resistance division level. Then the outputs D1-D4 are delivered from the comparators Q1-Q4 according to the concentration of the original and then put into a decoder DE containing a prescribed truth value table. One of Y1-Y5 is selected and delivered to the output of the decoder DE, and thus a design matrix can be set by the ground color of the original.
