Abstract

PURPOSE: To increase the area of heat conduction and also to enable stabilization of generation of steam bubbles by forming a space part having a shape widening toward the depth in the boiling heat conduction surface used in a boiler, a freezer or the like.
CONSTITUTION: A number of parallel angular grooves 2 are formed in the boiling heat conduction surface 1 contacting with liquid A such as Freon liquid or water. Each angular groove 2 has a trapezoid cross section widening toward the depth. Since the boiling heat conduction surface 1 is to have the angular grooves 2 by such formation, the heat condction surface is increased in comparison with simply smooth boiling heat conduction surfaces and, in addition, a stable mode of generation of a foaming cavity (a) as the steam bubble is obtained. When the boundary face (b) between the liquid A and the foaming cavity (a) meets the condition of a concave surface (θ>π/2-ϕ) and the liquid intrudes into the cavity (a) having the form widening toward the depth, the pressure of the air bubble is reduced sharply. And, when saturation temperature corresponding to the pressure is lower than the local temperature of the cavity part, condensation is prevent.
