Abstract
PURPOSE: The inexpensive titled agent readily injectable into wood by pressure penetrating into the interior of wood fully, consisting of finely divided particles, obtained by blending an oil-soluble organic chlorine insecticidal and termite killing agent with a surface active agent, e.g., nonionic surface active agent, and a stabilizing auxiliary, e.g., an alcohol, etc.
CONSTITUTION: An oil-soluble organic chlorine insecticidal and termite killing agent (e.g., chloridene, heptachlor, etc.) is blended with a surface active agent consisting of a nonionic surface active agent or a mixture of a nonionic and an anionic surface active agents and a stabilizing auxiliary of an alcohol (e.g., methyl alcohol, ethyl alcohol, etc.), or a glycol(e.g., monoethylene glycol, butyl diglycol, etc.), or an ether (e.g., monobutyl ether. etc.) to give soluble type insecticidal and termite killing agent for wood. Amounts of the surface active agent and the stabilizing auxiliary used are preferably 90wt% based on insecticidal and termite killing agent or not less than an equivalent amount of the agent respectively. The use of an aqueous solution of a boron compound, etc. by mixing it with the agent gives the excellent titled agent which makes up for the defects of the both compounds and strengthens their merits.
