Abstract

PURPOSE: To make it possible that the response speed for switching is high, by using a semiconductor variable resistance element such as the field effect transistor for the input signal circuit to the adding circuit in the circuit which cancels the output of an eddy current detector.
CONSTITUTION: A part of output voltage of phase detecting circuits 4 and 4' is input to bias adjusting and output amplifiers 305 and 305', and another part is input to similar amplifiers 306 and 306' after inverting the polarity of output voltages. In case that a detection output appears from eddy current detector 2, output voltages of bias adjusting and output amplifiers 305 and 306 and similar amplifiers 305' and 306' are changed to voltages of directions opposite to each other respectively with fixed bias voltages as the center, and these output voltages are applied to gates G of FET307, 308, 307' and 308' respectivey, and therefore, output voltages at connection points between FET307, 308 and between FET307' and 308' are changed. Cancelling circuit 30 functions by inputting these output voltages to adding circuit 301. The response speed for switching can be high by constituting the cancelling circuit electronically purely in this manner.
