Abstract
PURPOSE:To limit the locations of failure formed in a connecting process with liquid-chamber structures and prevent the failure of nozzle sections by forming grooves or notches among the nozzles of a multinozzle plate of a silicon monocrystal used as an ink jet head. CONSTITUTION:Grooves 3 are made up among the nozzles of a multinozzle plate 1 in which a silicon monocrystal wafer is photoetched in an anisotropic shape and a plurality of nozzles 2 are built up. When connecting the multinozzle plate to liquid- chamber structures, th glassy liquid-chamber structures 5 in which a solvent section contained in glass paste 4 with the low melting point is previously evaporated and liquid chambers 6 are made up are stacked around each nozzle 2 of a connecting surface of the multinozzle plate 1, and heated, the paste 4 is melted and the plate 1 and the structures 5 are connected. Even when cracks are formed to the multinozzle plate 1 due to the difference of thermal expansion coefficients in a cooling process of the connecting process, this method has no effect due to cracks because the surrounding of the nozzles 2 is connected by a bonding agent, and connection having high reliability is obtained.
