Abstract
PURPOSE: To obtain the synthetic resin product having a metallic feeling substantially equal to that of a real metal ornament by a method wherein a ground layer having a matted metallic feeling is provided on the outside surface of the main body of the synthetic resin product and then a special hot stamp layer is provided on the ground layer.
CONSTITUTION: The ground layer 2 having the matted metalling feeling is provided on the ouside surface of the main body 1 of the synthetic resin product, and the hot stamp layer 3 having a lustrous metallic feeling in a desired pattern is provided on the ground layer 2, obtaining the objective product. The ground layer is preferably formed by applying a coating material containing a metal powder or by vacuum deposition of metal.
