Abstract

PURPOSE: To reduce impact loss at the entrance of diffuser by almost equalizing the widths of flow paths from the inner edge of an intermediate blade to the main blades adjacent to both sides of the inner edge.
CONSTITUTION: The widths of flow paths from the inner edge 12a of an intermediate blade 12 to the main blades 11 adjacent to both sides of the edge are almost equalized by bending the inner edge portion 12a of the intermediate blade 12 toward the abdominal direction of the intermediate blade 12. Since the widths of the both side mouths of the intermediate blade are almost equal, the flow rates of gases flowing into each flow path become even, and therefore, differences in the flow rates, angles, and pressures of effluent at the outlet of impeller become smaller in passages on the abdominal and back sides of the intermediate blade. Thus, the flow of gas coming in a diffuser can be improved and impact loss can also be reduced.
