Abstract
PURPOSE:To remarkably decrease the number of input/output terminals of the IC required for the key detection work, by arranging 3 terminals to one key, and adopting the key constitution by which said 3 terminals all become the same potential by depressing the key. CONSTITUTION:The control circuit IC is provided with 3 strobe output terminals Dphi-D2, and the key input terminals Kphi-K2 and K3-K5 are provided, placing the terminals Dphi-D2 between them. The keys 0-44 which are used in this case have a contact D and two contacts K to one key, respectively, and are able to make three signal lines conduct at the same time by depressing the key. Now, when the key 44 is made to conduct, the IC starts scanning, and scans as to whether one of the termianls Kphi-K5 has become ''1'' by making the terminals Dphi-D2 ''1'' in order. Since the terminals D2, K2, K5 are conducting, however, when the terminal D2 has become 1, K2 and K5 become 1, and it is detected that the key 44 has been depressed. In this way, 45 keys can be detected by nine input/output terminals.
