Abstract

PURPOSE:To make the device inexpensive and highly precise by constituting the same in positions apart from the measuring seat of displacement meters through the intermediary of wires. CONSTITUTION:In the case when an object 1 to be measured causes some displacement in the direction havig three directional components of x, y and z, the displacement meters 3a, 3b and 3c indicate respective values. The wires 5 are taut since they are given tension constantly by the force of springs fitted inside the displacement meters 3a, 3b and 3c. The indicated value of the displacement meter 3a, for instance, is influenced even by the displacement in the directions y and z, but this influence can be ignored since the length of the wire 5 is long enough for the amount of displacement, and thus the indicated value of the displacement meter 3a shows the displacement only in the direction x approximately. It is true of the other displacement meters 3b and 3c.
