Abstract

PURPOSE: To lower the vibration transmissibility over the entire range of the working frequency of the vibration-proof rubber by fixing inner and outer cylinders respectively to the inner and outer peripheries of a shaped body made of rubber or the like having an annular form and flowing a fluid under a restriction of throttle due to the relative displacement between the inner and outer cylinders.
CONSTITUTION: The inner peripheral surface 13 of an outer cylinder 12 is fixed vulcanization bonding or the like to the outer peripheral wall surface 11 of a shearing ring 10 consisting of a thick flange made of rubber or a rubberlike material extending in an annular shape, on one hand. The outer peripheral surface 16 of an inner cylinder 15 is similarly fixed to the inner peripheral wall surface 14 of the shearing ring 10. Here, the shearing ring 10 is provided on one end of a thin cylinder 24, and the inner surface of the inner cylinder 15 is covered with the thin cylinder 24. The outer cylinder 12 fixes 19 at its end edge a supporting plate 18 unitarily provided with a mounting stud 17, enlarging 20 the end edge of the inner cylinder 15 on the opposite side with respect to the supporting plate 18, and fixes the same to a chassis 21. The thin cylinder 24 is partitioned into a main chamber B1 and an auxiliary chamber B2, and both chambers B1 and B2 are filled with damping fluid C.
