Abstract

PURPOSE: To form a coat contg. many codeposited nickel and insoluble fine particles and having superior wear resistance, lubricity, etc. by dispersing and suspending gluconate and a specified dye in an electroless composite nickel plating bath to enhance the stability of the bath.
CONSTITUTION: Gluconate and one or more kinds of dyes selected from acid dyes such as "Erio Chrysoline ", mordant dyes and acid mordant dyes are dispersed and suspended in an electroless composite nickel plating bath contg. nickel salt and insoluble inorg. particles of silicon carbide or the like. Using the resulting plating bath, inorg. fine particles are deposited on the surface of a metallic or nonmetallic material together with nickel. By this preparation the dispersion stability of the inorg. fine particles in the plating bath is improved, and a dense uniform composite coat with high smoothness, superior lubricity and superior wear, seizing and corrosion resistances is formed with high work efficiency.
