Abstract
PURPOSE:To decrease the length of the antenna element by securing the interlocking between the directivity switching of the antenna device and the channel selection switching of the receiver connected to the antenna device, thus realizing a microminiature antenna of 4 elements along with a high working gain. CONSTITUTION:Antenna device 45 consists of antenna element constitution part 46 including 4 pieces of dipole antennas and the signal compounding unit, switching control part 47 including the switching control means and the signal compounding unit, and others. On the other hand, memory part 52 stores the channel selection control code of receiver 49 and the optimum direction switching code of the antenna in combination. And now if the channel selection control code is set through the channel selecting operation at channel selection control part 50, memory control part 54 transfers continuously the transfer instruction signal until the coincidence is obtained by code comparator 51 between the set channel selection control code and the channel selection code in memory part 52. And when the coincidence is obtained between the both codes, the transfer action is discontinued. Then both the channel selection code and the antenna's direction switching control code are delivered to output terminals 53c and 53d to be then applied to receiver 49 and part 47 each. As a result, both the channel selection and the antenna's optimum directivity can be obtained simultaneously and electronically.
