Abstract

PURPOSE:To obtain a photosensitive composition for a photosensitive printing plate with superior shelf stability and developability by adding a diazo compound, an org. polymer carrier and a high molecular org. acid to a photosentive composition. CONSTITUTION:A high molecular org. acid such as polyacrylic acid, its copolymer or carboxylic acid-modified novolak resin is added to a photosensitive composition contg. a diazo compound such as aromatic diazonium salt or active carbonyl-contg. compound and an org. polymer carrier such as a copolymer of a monomer contg. an aromatic hydroxyl group such as N-(4-hydroxyphenyl)acrylamide or o-, m- or p- hydroxystyrene and other monomer. The photosensitive composition is applied to a support to form a photosensitive printing plate.
