Abstract

PURPOSE:To perform eccentricity compensating operation simply and exactly by inputting in a phase locked loop the output of a rotational-number detecting circuit converting the rotational number of a rotary shaft into a pulse train and by measuring the amount and direction of eccentricity of a signal generating part of the rotational-number detector according to the output. CONSTITUTION:The light emitted from a light source 6 through a row of slits 3 of a rotary disc 5 fitted to the rotary shaft 2 of a motor to be measured enters a phototransistor 7, the output of which is inputted in adders 14 and 15 through a wave- shaping circuit 9, a Schmitt circuit 10, a phase comparator 11, a voltage control oscillator 12, a low-pass filter 12-1 and an amplifier 13. Meanwhile, a signal from a phototransistor 8 opposed to a slit 4 is inputted in the adder 15 through a differential circuit 16 and a sine-wave oscillator 17, while a signal subjected to phase shift 18 by /2 is inputted in the adder 14. The output of the adders 14 and 15 are impressed on the axes X and Y of CRT19 and the amount and direction of eccentricity of the rotary disc 5 can be measured from a Lissajous's figure, and thus the compensation of eccentricity can be performed simply and correctly.
