Abstract

PURPOSE: To titled spinneret in which nozzle orifices are arranged symmetrically with the respect to the flowing direction of the cooling air, the center zone is provided with a cooling air path without orifices bored and the nozzle-boring density is made higher in the outer zone than in the center zone, thus giving products free from yarn break, uneveness in cross section and in structure.
CONSTITUTION: The position arrangement of nozzle orifices are made symmetrical with the respect to the flow direction of the cooling air and the center zone is provided with a cooling air path 1 without orifices bored. Further, the nozzle-boring density is made higher in the outer zone then in the center zone to prepare the spinneret. A thermoplastic resin such as polyethylene terephthalate is melt spun using the spinneret to produce the objective extremely fine filament yarns.
EFFECT: The cooling air path and new arrangement of nozzle orifices enables each filament to be uniformly cooled, thus producing extremely fine filament yarns of 0.3W1.2 filament denier without yarn break and uneveness.
