Abstract

PURPOSE: Melt spinning is conducted by using spinnerets which have two or more kinds of nozzles different in cross section and specially arranged and blowing a cooling gas from the side of the yarn to produce mixed yarns with different shrinage giving synthetic fiber fabrics with improved variety.
CONSTITUTION: Spinneret 1 is divided into two equal parts by line A-A that passes through center 0. Round nozzles 2 with minimum cross section only on the one part and other nozzles 3 with larger cross section than nozzles 2 on the other part are arranged in the form of plural concentric circles. The melt-spun yarn extruded from spinneret 4 is cooled by the air blowing to the direction of B wherein filaments extruded from nozzles 3 is strongly and efficiently cooled whereas ones from nozzles 2 are midly cooled. Resultingly the spinning drafts differ from each other and multifilaments with largely different orientation are produced.
