Abstract
PURPOSE: To obtain a polysulfone membrane with high permeable efficiency by constituting the supporting layer of barrier layers attached to both ends of the membrane like sponge whose construction is symmetrical about the ordinary center part of the direction of membrane thickness up and down and dividing the layer connecting with the center part to the vertical direction against the membrane surface.
CONSTITUTION: Tube separation membrane whose inside diameter is about ≥0.1mm and whose thickness is ≤70% of the inside diameter by using the undiluted solution of polysulfone which has about 1,000W6,000cp viscosity of and includes the constitution represented by the shown expression in the repeating unit of the main chain of a molecule. In this case, electrolyte and organic materials are added to the coagulation bath and the temperature of the bath is maintained in a fixed range. The both surfaces of the tube membrane have barrier layers which have no ≥0.001μ small holes or opening holes. The supporting layer with sponge constitution which supports the barrier layers is symmetrical about the ordinal center of the direction of membrane thickness up and down and consists of small sections obtained by dividing the surface of the membrane with even sponge constitution which connects with the center. The thickness of the center sponge layer is ≤3/4 of the whole thickness of membrane.
