PURPOSE:To recover the activity of a salt bath in a short period of time without replacing the salt bath by passing current across cathode of a metal plate immersed in degraded salt bath and anode of metal pot or metal product immersed in salt bath. If the bath 2 is agitated by a stirrer 3, it reduces the time needed for activation. Also, the same effect can be obtained by passing current using an anode of metal product 9 inserted in the pot 1.
