Abstract
PURPOSE:To improve the magnetic characteristics such as energizing characteristics, iron loss characteristic and so forth of the wound iron core and the workability thereof by irradiating a laser beam in a laminar direction of the iron core material and cutting it. CONSTITUTION:The iron core material 11 molded and annealed is placed on an X-Y table 12 and fitted to a positioning device 12A. Then, an iron core loosening roller 13 is driven in the same direction as an iron core winding direction, and a slight gap (g) is formed between the iron core piece 11B obtained by the second cutting and an end member 11A formed by the initial cutting. The laser beam 19 is irradiated thereto, a focus unit 15 is driven in a Z-axis direction to inject asistant gas 17 thereto to thereby cut the end member 11A. Similarly, the iron core piece 11B is obtained by the second cutting, and removed in the Z-axis direction by a suction board 18. This operation is sequentially repeated to cut the iron core material 11 in the amount corresponding to one circumferencial length.
