Abstract

PURPOSE:To make it possible to measure easily the amplitude of a vibrator with high precision and noncontact by converting the change in the position of light corresponding to the amplitude of the vibrator to be measured into the electric signals by the light receiving element having a horizontal photoelectric effect. CONSTITUTION:When a vibrator 1 is not in operation, the light from the light source 3 reflected in the reflector is irradiated in the center part C of the horizontal voltage effect element 4. Thereby in the P thpe semiconductor layer 6 the voltage effect is generated generating the potential difference between the center part C of the element 4 and the electrode 7 as well as between the center part C and the electrode 8, but said both values are equal and the voltage between the electrodes 7 and 8 is zero. When the vibrator 1 vibrates, the position of the light moves to the right and left of the center part C so that the voltage is generated between the electrodes 7 and 8 corresponding to said vibration.
