Abstract
PURPOSE:To obtain an ornamental foamed sheet excellent in heat-resisting property and the like by a method wherein a foaming layer, a printed layer and a PVC resin composition containing polyfunctional monomer are laminated sequentially on a substrate and foamed to form concavo-convexes thereon and later electron beams are applied thereto to cross-link PVC. CONSTITUTION:On a substrate such as base cloth, paper material and a synthetic resin sheet is laminated a foaming layer formed of synthetic resin containing a foaming agent such as dinitrosopentamethylenetetramin, whereon a printed layer is formed. Next, on the printed layer is laminated a PVC resin composition containing the polyfunctional monomer (ex. divinylbenzene and acrylic methacrylate) of about 3-50pts.wt. to 100pts.wt. of PVC and later the foaming layer is made to foam, whereby the concavo-convexes are formed. Then, electron beams having a dose of about 1-10Mrad are applied in the atmosphere of inactive gas or in the presence of an oxygen intercepting layer on the surface layer to cross-link PVC, and thus the aimed foamed sheet is obtained.
